January 5th-8th

Welcome Back! What a joy it was to see my girls again and have them share their holiday experiences with me and their classmates. God was faithful in keeping us all safe and in good health upon our return to school. In which, it was time to return to our studies! With an additional twenty minutes given to our Mathematics class each morning, the students started their week recalling such things as formulas and conversions. The two class periods that follow Mathematics were each shortened by ten minutes so as to compensate for the earlier change. These classes include: Writing, Bible, Chemistry and Latin. In Bible, we are continuing our study of God's Righteousness in the book of Romans. In English class, the girls have diligently been studying their new vocabulary and spelling words, practicing grammar and reading "Jane Eyre" (their individual novel). In History, we began a topographical map study of North America as well as a reading of Raleigh. Because Raleigh was a poet, each student was given a different poem to read and then asked to write a poem of her own. They will be presenting each on Monday. I look forward to a wonderful reading!
