The End of April

For the love of great literature! Our Thursday Drama Group has been such fun as the girls have acted out the parts of Romeo and Juliet. As our school year comes to a quick close, the girls continue to be steadfast in their studies. In our Humanities class, we have most recently studied the Salem Witch Trials. In doing so, I gave a formal reading in which the girls were to listen and takes notes as I read. I did this as a preparation for the type of lectures they would receive in college in which they would be required to take notes and then use them as a study guide for exams. This week, I will have each of them use their notes to write a summary of what they have learned so far from the reading. Following the Salem Witch Trials, we will study the Thirteen Colonies. The class will be divided into partners that are assigned specific colonies that they will be required to research and make a presentation of for the class. On a side note-our first Upper School Talent Show was a success! Families and friends filled the audience as a great show of support! Each participant did a wonderful job and the desserts were delicious too! May the Lord bless you and keep you, Mrs. Roy
