The First Day of School 2010

The first day of school was wonderful! In all of the science classes, the students were introduced to this year's studies along with a tour of the animals in the Nature Room. Over the past summer, our school added a Syrian Hamster, Fire-Bellied Toad, Winter-White Hamster and a Leopard Gecko to the Nature Room. In Zoology, the students will begin the year reading Apologia's Exploring Creation with Zoology 1: Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day. Our studies will focus on insects and birds. Accordingly, our Nature Studies will include bug hunts and bird watching. In Biology II, the students will be reading Apologia's The Human Body, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!. We will be learning about the 11 organ systems of the body. I will leave you with this quote from the Psalmist,"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works; and my soul knoweth right well." Mrs. Roy
